Abstract

The global chemical industry is thriving. For most chemical companies, nitro compounds are primary raw materials. When nitrification waste (NW) is not treated in a timely manner, the accumulated heat and increase in temperature cause spontaneous combustion and explosion. Numerous such accidents have occurred worldwide in recent years. Herein, the thermal stability and thermokinetic parameters of NW were detected through thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry in a nitrogen atmosphere. The apparent activation energy , prefinger factor, and other thermokinetic parameters of NW were calculated using four advanced linear regression–based thermokinetic models, and a comprehensive thermal stability analysis was conducted. Through multiple linear regression, a reaction model was established. The findings serve as a reference for the storage and treatment of NW, as well as for theconstruction of a predictive model of the thermal behaviors of NW.
