Abstract

This paper represents the improvement in gain of Microstrip antenna (MSA) with metallic ring as well as also compares its efficacy without using metallic ring. Also, author has tried to improve its performance more using spoof surface plasmon polariton (SPP) feed line to reducep the losses, which is main concern area of any MSA. This paper is completely simulation based using CST Microwave studio. Results obtained are bit enhanced using metallic ring and spoof SPP, minimizes the loss due to the surface wave. Author has achieved by the proposed simulated structure, gain 8.09 dB and 95% of efficiency at 10.5 GHz frequency without metallic ring and gain of 9.67 dB with metallic ring.
