Abstract
Integrating wearable sensors with artificial intelligence (AI) can help facilitate efficient and accurate signal processing and decision-making. This review discusses AI-assisted sensing electronics for human-machine interfaces (HMIs) such as the metaverse. We present a summary of AI-assisted data processing methodology and models and their usage for specific applications, such as speech recognition, health monitoring, and immersive virtual reality applications based on AI-assisted pattern recognition and classification. Finally, this review provides a perspective on the challenges and prospects of AI-assisted sensing for HMI applications.
