Co nanoparticles encapsulated in N-doped carbon nanotube materials derived from new metal–organic frameworks for oxygen electrocatalysis

Abstract
We report a novel metal–organic framework featuring Co–N 4 structures. Upon pyrolysis, Co nanoparticles encapsulated within N-doped carbon nanotubes were obtained with exceptional electrocatalytic oxygen reduction/evolution reaction activities.
