Abstract
A high quantum efficiency and improved thermal stability can be achieved with the introduction of Tb<sup>3+</sup> into Ca<sub>3</sub>Gd<sub>2</sub>Si<sub>6</sub>O<sub>18</sub>:Ce<sup>3+</sup>.
