Abstract

We present for the first time the exact next-to-leading-order QCD corrections to the light-quark part of the mixed QCD-EW contributions to Higgs production via gluon fusion at the Large Hadron Collider, for a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, with exact EW-boson mass dependence. The relevant two-loop real-emission matrix element is computed using a dynamic one-dimensional series expansion strategy whose stability and speed allows for a numerical phase-space integration using local IR subtraction counterterms. For the choice of renormalization (${\ensuremath{\mu}}_{R}$) and factorization (${\ensuremath{\mu}}_{F}$) scales, ${\ensuremath{\mu}}_{R}={\ensuremath{\mu}}_{F}={M}_{H}$, we find ${\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{gg\ensuremath{\rightarrow}H+X}^{({\ensuremath{\alpha}}_{s}^{2}{\ensuremath{\alpha}}^{2}+{\ensuremath{\alpha}}_{s}^{3}{\ensuremath{\alpha}}^{2})}=1.467(2{)}_{\ensuremath{-}14.6%}^{+18.7%}({\ensuremath{\mu}}_{R}\text{ }\text{var})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}2%\text{ }(\mathrm{PDF})\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{pb}$, which we use to provide the best result, including an estimate of suppressed contributions: ${\ensuremath{\sigma}}_{pp\ensuremath{\rightarrow}H+X}^{(\mathrm{EW},\text{best})}=2.11\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.28\text{ }(\text{theory})\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{pb}$.
