Abstract
The local symmetry breaking and presence of two independent active sites in Cs 2 LiInCl 6 :Yb 3+ ,Er 3+ double perovskites are beneficial for the luminescence enhancement, thus guiding the designing of highly-efficient visible and NIR-II emitters.
