Circuit Modelling of Static Magnetic Losses of Ferrite Cores and Application on an LLC Converter
Vittorio Bertolini, Marco Stella, Riccardo Scorretti
Abstract
An accurate circuital model is used to take into account the real behavior of magnetic components. Non-linearity and hysteresis losses are taken into account by proper circuital components, which can be determined from experimental measurements. The circuital model is integrated into an LLC resonant DC-DC converter. The full model of the converter obtained in this way is implemented in Simulink. The results obtained by using the proposed model and ideal (= linear, lossless) models are critically compared, in particular from the standpoint of the power of the converter.
