Abstract
A visible light-induced, photoredox catalyzed, eco-friendly one pot method for the synthesis of 2,4-disubsitituted quinoline has been proposed. This novel strategy utilizes visible light to produce 2,4-disubstituted quinoline through tandem reactions involving the formation of C-N and C-C bonds with high yield of product under relatively mild reaction conditions. This synthetic protocol has many important benefits, including a cost-effective catalyst, short reaction time, excellent atom economy, simple work-up and an extensive substrate scope.
