Enhanced AI-Based Intrusion Detection and Response System for WSN

Abstract

In this chapter, the authors introduce an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based enhanced intrusion detection and response (EIDR) system using two tire processes. The simulation results display that the proposed EIDR system has a better detection rate and false positive rate without affecting the network performance. Wireless sensor networks are distributed volatile sensors to monitor physical or environmental conditions like temperature, pressure, and sound, and synchronize their data with the network. An intrusion detection system attempts to detect insecure conditions of networks due to malicious attacks. Intrusion is a set of events that can lead to unofficial access or a change of wireless networking system. Even the simplest human behavior is ascribed to intelligence, while even the most complicated insect behavior is never taken as an indication of intelligence. Artificial intelligence has made its way into a wide variety of markets.
