Abstract

Abstract In this work, we have investigated the motion of a spinning particle around regular black holes in asymptotically safe gravity using the Mathisson–Papapetrou–Dixon equations. We derive the effective potential formula and graphically show the effect of the black hole parameter. We subsequently analyze the effect of the particle’s spin on the innermost stable circular orbits (ISCO), the specific angular momentum, and the energy at ISCO. Furthermore, we determine the critical values of the particle’s spin s for different values of the parameter of the black hole $$\xi $$ ξ , above which the particles similar to time become non-physical and space-like. The trajectories of the particles are also shown for different space-time and particle parameters. In total, the cases of particle collisions around regular black holes are also analyzed.
