<title>Extract</title> Although tuberculosis (TB) is a preventable and curable disease, after the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, it regained its role as the leading global cause of death from a single infectious agent, causing 10.8 million cases and 1.25 million deaths as estimated by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2023 [1].
