Formic and acetic acid p<i>K</i><sub>a</sub> values increase under nanoconfinement

Abstract
The dissociation constants of organic acids decrease (p K a values increase) when they are confined within silica nanopores filled with aqueous solutions. Nanoconfinement stabilizes the protonated species.
