1. Recent advances of ZnIn 2 S 4 -based photocatalysts are presented. 2. Main modification strategies to enhance the photoactivity of ZnIn 2 S 4 are discussed. 3. Future perspectives of the development of ZnIn 2 S 4 -based photocatalysts are identified.
