Abstract

Abstract The significance of cybersecurity has escalated inside contemporary higher education institutions. The increasing use of digital technology has rendered educational institutions susceptible to cyberattacks. The present study delves into the intricate correlation between cybersecurity and the caliber of higher education. This chapter examines the potential impact of robust cybersecurity measures on the quality of education. Specifically, it explores how such measures might protect sensitive data, ensure the integrity of academic operations, and promote a secure learning environment. Furthermore, this chapter examines the many obstacles and ramifications associated with cybersecurity within the realm of higher education. It underscores the need of adopting proactive measures to counteract cyber threats and guarantee an exceptional educational environment for students, faculty members, and staff. The data were obtained from a sample of seven Jordanian higher education institutions, including 232 questionnaires and 12 interviews. The analysis process includes the use of several data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Data Analytica, and NVivo software, to generate pie charts and statistical indicators.
