THE END OF CONTINUITY: Why Spacetime Cannot Be Infinitely Divisible, and Why Reality Requires a Minimal Unit

Abstract
This paper presents a correction to the assumption of physical continuity. No experiment has ever observed infinitely divisible space, time, energy, or information. Instead, detectors reveal finite resolution, quantized energy transfer, bounded information density, and Planck-scale limits. By replacing infinite divisibility with a minimal unit epsilon greater than 0, the work removes singularities, ultraviolet divergences, and zero-size particles. Physical reality occupies a finite, non-zero interval x less than Omega. A remaining paradox is addressed: if the universe is finite, why does it appear unbounded? The resolution is topological. A finite closed manifold, such as the 2-sphere or 3-sphere, permits unbounded traversal without infinite volume. Infinity does not exist as a physical magnitude; it exists only as motion on a closed finite space. What appears infinite is the path, not the measure.
