Installation parameters and capacity of screwed piles

Abstract
This paper proposes a general simplified method for pre-determining the carrying capacity and settlement of displacement pile, installed by screwing. Special emphasis is placed on screw piles of the last generation: Atlas, Omega, De Waal and Spire. The proposed method, has been derived from the interpretation of full-scale loading tests carried out on screw piles with instrumented shafts, and based on the most popular in situ tests such as PMT, CPT and SPT. The influence of some installation parameters on feasability, bearing capacity and integrity is commented.
