Abstract
A highly efficient and convenient method for KX-promoted ring-opening halogenation and halosulfonation of alkynyl sulfonium salts has been developed. This reaction facilitates the selective synthesis of various halogenated and halosulfonated ring-opening products in good to high yields under different solvent conditions. Importantly, the resulting products can be further transformed into a diverse array of valuable functionalized molecules, highlighting the practicality of this method in organic synthesis.
