Abstract
Concrete mix design is a critical process in construction, influencing the strength, durability, and workability of concrete. Traditional methods of mix design, such as empirical and analytical approaches, often involve trial-and-error techniques that can be time-consuming and imprecise. With advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), new methods for optimizing concrete mixes have emerged, offering enhanced accuracy and efficiency. This paper reviews the integration of AI into automated concrete mix design, with a specific focus on the role of computerized grading curves in optimizing aggregate distribution.
