Abstract

Based on the synergy between PVP gel and Pt/Ni(OH) 2 heterostructure, Pt/Ni(OH) 2 heterostructure encapsulated in PVP gel was synthesized with an overpotential of 12 mV, Tafel slope of 21.5 mV dec −1 , and stability for 50 h in alkaline solution.
