AI-Based Security System for 5G Enabled IoT

Abstract
Present article delves into the evolution and fusion of 5G networks with IoT, emphasizing the vital role of AI driven security solutions in safeguarding against potential vulnerabilities. It explores the alignment of 5G protocol layers with the OSI stack, delineating their pivotal functions in enabling diverse services within the 5G ecosystem. The piece meticulously categorizes and analyzes security threat models within cellular networks, underscoring risks related to privacy, integrity, availability and authentication. Furthermore, the present work investigates the fortification of 5G security through AI based systems and network slice security (detailing models like Two-Stage Slicing and Two-Stage Safe Slicing) which optimize slicing policies for dynamic 5G landscapes. The integration of AI-driven security and intrusion detection systems, including decision tree algorithms, reinforces defense mechanisms and expedites threat identification. Future advancement targeting 6G wireless systems, spotlighting adaptive machine learning, network-as-an-intelligent-service, and self-sustaining networks, Embracing AI-based security systems pivotal safeguarding complex wireless networks, laying the groundwork for a secure, interconnected future.
