Band energy engineering: precise regulation of P-band centers to reasonably construct S-scheme heterojunctions for boosting photocatalytic hydrogen production

Abstract

Here, Co 2 VO 4 /CdS S-scheme heterojunction has been successfully prepared. Co 2 VO 4 keeps the center of S-p band away from Fermi level, promotes H* desorption, reduces Gibbs free energy, and greatly improves photocatalytic hydrogen evolution capacity.
