Abstract
Photoelectrochemical CO 2 reduction to ethylene is achieved by codesigning a Cu/TiO 2 /p-Si photoelectrode. Bilayer ionomer coatings and electrolyte-side illumination enable 4× more ethylene compared to no coatings and semiconductor-side illumination.
