Abstract
The Cr(VI) photoreduction efficiency in a Zr-based MOF is largely boosted by photosensitizer introduction and framework ionization, resulting from the great improvement of both the visible light harvesting ability and Cr(<sc>vi</sc>) adsorption performance.
