Abstract
Immunotherapy Adverse Effects ImmunotherapyImmunotherapies treat many types of cancer. These drugs are not chemotherapy; instead, they use the body's immune system to target the cancer. Most people do not have serious adverse effects from these medicines. When adverse effects happen, it is because the immune system mistakenly targets a person's healthy cells. This is called an immune-related adverse event, or irAE.
