A Survey on Energy Aware Cognitive Radio Network

Abstract
In the field of wireless communication effective utilization of spectrum is the big issue which introduces the spectrum scarcity problem. This has been resolved by Cognitive Radio Network (CRN) technology. Spectrums are available for Primary Users (PUs) with highest priority and Secondary Users (SUs) can opportunistically access license band wherever it is not in used by PU. CRN increases the efficiency of spectrum utility hence recently this technology is more demanded. The increasing demand of CRN causes energy consumption issue. This paper meticulously recaps on algorithms, protocols, methods for energy minimization in CRN.
