Abstract

The efficiency of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is measured in terms of deployment schemes of heterogeneous nodes for object capturing as data and routing protocol is utilized for transmitting the data to Base Station (BS). The battery power is constrained in the WSN. The paper proposed a multitier clustering multi-hop routing protocol for energy conservation. The WSN area is divided in different zones and sub-zones so that more Cluster Heads (CH) are formed to gather the data to its member nodes and aggregate the data and send to BS. The simulation result shows that network lifetime is improved. The protocol is used for monitoring the agriculture crop field and prevents the crops from animals.
