Abstract
This work provides a novel architecture for modular seven level inverter (M7LI). The M7LI utilizes binary DC sources for producing output at seven levels. The level shifted PWM technique with variable frequency carrier and trapezoidal reference are used to trigger the M7LI. The binary configuration provides more voltage levels with minimum utilization of sources and components contrasted with traditional MLIs. In order to prove the effectiveness and viability of the suggested architecture and PWM techniques various performance measures are evaluated and listed. MATLAB-SIMUINK is used to perform the simulations. It is observed that, the LS-PDVF technique provides relatively low THD, and lower Distortion Factor. The LS-COVF method has a greater VRMS output voltage.
