Abstract

Three-phase dual active bridge (DAB) converter has high-full load efficiency, less RMS current, better transformer utilization factor, reduced filter and volume. The modeling of the system is required for design of the controller gain and to implement control strategies effectively. Since, DAB behaves like a current source. The conventional methodology of obtaining output current or power is done is time domain. Repetitive calculation is required for different configuration of three phase dual active bridge. In this paper, a novel frequency domain based analysis is proposed to obtain the output power or output current. The novel methodology eliminates the repetitive work required in time domain. The large and small signal model is developed using novel frequency domain analysis of three phase dual active bridge. The model achieved from the frequency domain is verified with the switch model.
