Abstract

A SeO 2 -additive electrolyte is developed to achieve a proof-of-concept aqueous all-manganese battery, which shows MnO 2 /Mn 2+ reactions at the cathode and Mn/Mn 2+ chemistries at the anode with a theoretical potential of 2.42 V.
