Ultra-Compact Silicon Modulator for 124 GBaud Coherent Optical Links

Abstract
We present a microring-assisted Mach-Zehnder modulator with a bandwidth beyond 67 GHz (90+ GHz ex-trapolated) and a 0.03 mm <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sup> footprint. We achieved 124 GBaud coherent transmission with linear signal processing.
