Abstract
This special edition of the Journal of Bioengineering and Technology Applied to Health brings a selection of articles presented at the VI International Symposium on Innovation and Technology (SIINTEC). In this first volume of selected articles from VI SIINTEC 2020, research on developments involving the application of lean manufacturing, development of the gamified model, characterization, and application of oils, biomass, and cyanobacteria species will be discussed. Also, Brazilian manufacturers' presence in the COVID-19 diagnostic products will be discussed as well.
