Abstract

methane oxidation rates. In this study, we explored the applicability of methane oxidation biomarkers as a universal indicator of methanotrophic activity and explored methanotroph transcriptomic response to short-term changes in substrate availability. Our results contribute to better understanding the activity of aerobic methanotrophs, their core metabolic pathways, and their stress responses.
