Abstract

Congenital CMV (cCMV) infection causes neurological sequelae in newborns. Recent studies of cCMV pathogenesis in animal models reveal ventriculomegaly and cortical atrophy associated with impaired neural progenitor cell (NPC) proliferation and migration.
