Optimum placement of Electric Vehicle Charging Station using Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm

Abstract

In this paper optimum placement of the EV charging stations for distributed network is proposed by the developed Particle Swarm optimization(PSO) algorithm. In contemplation of the distribution network and consumer, the voltage profile and the convergence properties approach is modified in accordance with conventional optimization approaches. The IEEE 33 and 69 bus node is used to obtain the simulation results to show the advantages of using this advanced PSO algorithm in the distribution network. For the acquisition of the optimum placement for the EV charging stations the Electric Vehicle(EV) battery properties and the load profile is exploited.
