Abstract
Replacement of the function X = −NH 2 with −OH in the 5X-pyrimidine axial ligand of the 2D Hofmann polymer {Fe II (L ax ) 2 [M II (CN) 4 ]} n (M II = Pt, Pd) enhances guest uptake and enables a wide range of one, two and three stepped spin crossover behaviours.
