Pharmacologic Treatment of Attention Deficit–Hyperactivity Disorder
Samuele Cortese
Abstract
Amphetamines and methylphenidate and, less often, nonstimulants (atomoxetine, clonidine, and guanfacine) are used to treat ADHD. Inattentiveness and restlessness are improved more than quality-of-life measures in short-term trials.
