Abstract
To tackle the rapid integration of energy consumption and ecological contamination modern technology is electrifying the transportation system with the Electric Vehicle. With a significant performance improvement, less maintenance cost, and zero greenhouse gas emission EVs are a superior replacement for Internal Combustion engines. But the increasing number of EVs and charging stations affects the distribution system parameters. This paper illustrates the modeling of an EV load and the impact of that EV load on the distribution system for checking the suitable location of charging stations. This idea is implemented on the IEEE 33 bus distribution system. Major impacts on power grid stability and the best location for installing the charging stations can be implemented through it.
