A Novel Approach for Breast Cancer Detection by Mammograms
Pragati Kumar, Dhivya Bhavani
Abstract
The most prevalent illness among women is breast cancer. The number of cases of breast cancer is rising daily and is increasing. To help the radiologist with the task of interpreting the digital mammography image to detect abnormalities related to breast cancer, an automation system utilizing an AI algorithm is proposed. Mammogram images have little contrast, but by using a trained CNN template, the medical visual quality of the image can be improved, helping with early detection. Additionally, a user-friendly Matlab-based (GUI) is created, allowing radiologists to store patient data and output images on their computers for later use.
