Abstract

The relevance of this topic is due to the fact that convergence allows the efficient use of existing resources (bandwidth). The cost of the Wi-Fi range is cheaper than the range of the GSM / 5G network, which reduces the cost of communication services for the operator for the operator. Convergence with Wi-Fi where packet IP switching is used, which does not have perfect capabilities for providing quality services, becomes a problem, for the solution of which the following results were achieved in this article: parameters of quality assurance classes and options for traffic prioritization were determined; the mechanism of providing the subscriber with access to the transmission medium has been investigated; analyzed the probabilistic characteristics regarding the adjustment of access points and workstations to improve the quality of coverage.
