Abstract
Mutual connection between networks plays vital role in improving the pursuance of parallel processing, therefore different topologies have been developed in the literature. New variant of hypercube called Folded Spined Cube (FSQ<inf>n</inf>) is proposed in this paper which is suitable for interconnection networks. For the architecture proposed, properties such as nodes, degree, distance, diameter, and cost are derived. A study is conducted between proposed FSQ<inf>n</inf>, and various hypercube variants based on the performance and cost factors. One-to-one optimal routing algorithm for FSQ<inf>n</inf> which is simple and easy to implement is proposed.
