Abstract
Abstract A copper and silver‐promoted intermolecular 1,2‐alkylarylation of styrenes with α‐carbonyl alkyl bromides and arenes for producing highly bulky 1,1‐diarylalkane derivatives has been developed. In this transformations, two new C−C bonds were formed in a single reaction step through C−Br bond cleavage and C( sp 2 )−H functionalization. This protocol tolerates a variety of α ‐carbonyl alkyl bromides, including primary, secondary and tertiary α‐bromoalkyl ketone esters. magnified image
