Research on Energy Management Strategy of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles

Abstract

In this paper, a new powertrain structure with hydrogen fuel cell as the main energy source and lithium battery as the auxiliary energy source is proposed. At the same time, according to the lithium battery SOC value, the hydrogen fuel cell efficiency and the vehicle demand power, the power following control strategy, the fuzzy control strategy and the compound control strategy combining the two are used to complete the power distribution of the hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. The power distribution of the hydrogen fuel cell vehicles is completed through MATLAB and ADVISOR. Simulation verification under UDDS and HWFET operating conditions shows that this control strategy can effectively complete the power distribution between hydrogen fuel cells and lithium batteries. At the same time, it can also reduce hydrogen consumption and improve vehicle economy.
