Abstract
This paper presents a flexible patch antenna of size 30.5 mm × 30 mm × 1 mm, using Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) substrate for WLAN and Wi-Fi 6E and 802.11ax applications. The presented antenna design consists of a square patch of 3 mm × 3 mm with four staircase steps of size 2 mm × 2 mm on each corner of the patch with defected ground plane. The gain of the proposed antenna is 5 dbi. The simulation and measurement analysis performed on the proposed antenna using PDMS substrate shows that the PDMS can be a suitable option as a substrate for flexible antennas for the target applications. Both simulation and measurement results are in good coincidence.
