A Commentary on Kant’s Critique of Judgment
Heinrich Walter Cassirer
Abstract
The Critical Philosophy is, in my opinion, a whole each part of which is in the closest relation to the others. For this reason, and in order to prepare the reader for my interpretation of the third Critique, I propose here to set out by the way of introduction the most general principles of the first two Critiques. I cannot and need not attempt to give an account of the many problems discussed in them. I shall ideal with them only as parts of a system the main lines of which must be grasped if we are to understand the detailed interpretation of that part of it with which we are here chiefly concerned.
