Blockchain concept for the educational purposes: bibliometric analysis and conceptual structure

Abstract

This study utilized bibliometric analysis to examine the blockchain concept within the field of computer science as Blockchain development and cryptography in blockchain to support the IT sector with competitive professionals with advanced knowledge and skills in the field of blockchain development. At the same time, the study of the concept of blockchain will be carried out by analyzing the domain "Blockchain" using the method of intellectual analysis of texts that were provided by VOSviewer and R-based tool. The main objective of our study is to apply the bibliometric approach for analyzing the relevant literature during the specified period from 2017–2023, a reflection of 391 documents that appeared on the Web of Knowledge. The bibliometric search offered insights that revealed information about literature concerning the concept of blockchain on Blockchain development and Cryptography in blockchain. Overall, it shows a noticeable upward trend. Specifically, in our report, we've emphasized five major streams associated with topics like the byzantine fault tolerance, cloud computing and cryptography, cryptocurrency and smart contract, sharding blockchain, and fairness data trading.
