Abstract

HIGHLIGHTS Alkaline pectinase is very significant commercial enzyme used in bioscouring process. In traditional scouring, textile industry utilizes harmful alkaline chemicals to expel non-cellulosic material from the fabrics. Alkaline pectinase productive Bacillus tropicus was isolated from fruit and vegetable waste dump soil. Bacillus tropicus characterized by 16S rDNA sequences analysis.
