Tuning the electrochemical redox-mediated mechanism of oxygen evolution on cobalt sites by hydroxide ion coupling

Abstract
Molecular Co sites were induced to convert from +2 to +3 oxidation state under open-circuit conditions. This process eliminated the generation of Co 2+ from its redox equilibrium and improved the turnover frequencies of OER.
