Research on Electromagnetic Reception of Acoustically Excited Antenna by FDTD Method

Abstract

This letter theoretically investigates acoustically excited antennas (AEAs) using a proposed multiphysics finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The FDTD-based coupling equations according to the antenna reception principle are constructed. The reception performance and resonance modes at the electromechanical resonance frequency are studied. The effects of material attributes, antenna thickness, and receiving area on the antenna reception characteristics are analyzed. The simulation methodology can provide a reference for physical preparation, parameter optimization, and geometry optimization of near-field communication and implantable medical antennas.
