Abstract

Today, the calculation of the electrical load for residential and public buildings in the Russian Federation is carried out on the basis of SP 256.1325800.2016 “Electrical equipment of residential and public buildings. Rules of design and erection”. After specialists of the Association “Roselectromontazh” carried out a set of calculations obtained results showed that the standards specified are overestimated in comparison with the actual values. Electricity consumption has dropped significantly in recent years. The normative values, in turn, has not been revised, which led to unreasonably large investments in the construction of distribution networks, the formation of reserve capacities, and increased losses of electricity in the electrical equipment of electrical networks as a result of their inefficient use. An urgent task is to correct regulatory documents, taking into account regional characteristics, followed by monitoring their actual values. It is possible to complete the task in full using smart electricity meters.
